1 Year. 18,250 Pounds. 65 Families Fed with Faith.
In August 2025, we celebrated a sacred milestone — one full year of serving seniors through the Nutrition Ministry at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, in partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) and their Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP).
Over the past 12 months, through rain, wind, and Atlanta's summer heat, our dedicated volunteers delivered:
730
📦 Food boxes distributed
18,250
⚖️ Pounds of nutritious non-perishables
65+
👵🏽 Seniors served across metro Atlanta
For many of our beloved recipients in senior housing communities across Peoplestown, Ben Hill, and South Fulton, these food boxes represent more than groceries — they represent dignity, hope, and care.
More Than Food: Tech + Love = Transformation
This year also marked a breakthrough as ACFB transitioned to the Oasis digital platform, eliminating piles of paperwork that once cluttered church offices.
Now, our energy is back where it belongs — on people.
The Volunteer Circle
"We don't just hand out boxes. We pass along dignity, joy, and care."
Led by Co-Chairs Pamela Williams-Phelps and Alice Hamilton, a rotating circle of 10–15 faithful volunteers from Emmanuel Lutheran Church, family, and friends show up every second Thursday of the month — rain or shine.
Together, they lift more than boxes; they lift spirits.
